Document check

Verify a ZenTalk document

Businesses on ZenTalk issue signed contracts, delivery sign-offs and project evidence reports to their clients, banks and payment processors. Check here that a PDF is exactly the file ZenTalk created, with nothing added, removed or changed.

The file stays on your device. Only its fingerprint is checked.

How the check works

Your browser computes the SHA-256 fingerprint of the file and sends only that fingerprint to ZenTalk. When ZenTalk issues a document it records the fingerprint of the final file. If even one character of the PDF changes, the fingerprint changes and the check reports no match.

The digital seal

Evidence reports, and documents signed on ZenTalk from October 2026 on, carry a ZenTalk digital signature. Open the file in Adobe Acrobat Reader and look at the signature panel: it shows who sealed the document and whether it was modified afterwards. The seal and this page check the same thing in two independent ways.

What a match means

A match proves the file is the one ZenTalk generated and recorded on the date shown. The content of the document, such as the signature details, timestamps and activity history, was captured by ZenTalk at the time each event happened. A match does not decide a dispute by itself; it tells the reviewer the record in front of them is authentic.

No match?

Opening a PDF and saving it again, printing it to a new PDF, or merging it with other files all produce a different file, even if it looks the same. Ask the sender for the original file downloaded from ZenTalk. Questions: support@usezentalk.com.
