Terms of Service

These terms explain the rules for using ZenTalk. We have done our best to write them in plain language. If something is unclear, just email us at support@usezentalk.com and we will explain.

By using ZenTalk you are agreeing to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

What ZenTalk is

ZenTalk is a live chat and customer support platform. It lets your team talk to website visitors in real time, manage support tickets, and use AI powered agents to handle common questions automatically. You can embed a lightweight chat widget on any website and manage every conversation from a single dashboard.

ZenTalk is currently invite only

We are in an early access beta and we are being deliberate about who joins. At this stage you can only create an account if you have received a personal invitation from us. We do this because we want to make sure every team that comes aboard gets a great experience from day one.

If you would like to request an invitation, email us at support@usezentalk.com. We review every request personally and we will follow up with you.

Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. Do not share them with people outside your organization.
  • Please provide accurate information when you set up your account. If something changes, keep it up to date.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use ZenTalk.
  • Each workspace is yours. You decide who on your team gets access and what permissions they have.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens inside your workspace, including actions taken by your team members.

How you may use ZenTalk

ZenTalk exists to help you support your customers better. You may use it to:

  • Chat with visitors on your website in real time.
  • Manage and resolve customer support tickets.
  • Set up AI powered agents to answer common questions.
  • Embed the ZenTalk widget on websites you own or have permission to modify.

Things you may not do

We trust you to use ZenTalk responsibly. A few things are strictly off limits:

  • Using ZenTalk to send spam, unsolicited messages, or phishing attempts.
  • Collecting personal data from your visitors without their knowledge or without a proper privacy notice on your website.
  • Trying to access another workspace's data or another user's account.
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source code of ZenTalk.
  • Using ZenTalk in any way that breaks applicable laws or harms other people.
  • Reselling or sublicensing access to ZenTalk without our written permission.

Connected third party accounts

ZenTalk integrates with several third party services that you may choose to connect to your workspace. For example Google Ads (for IP exclusion sync), your own email mailbox (for chat email round trip and the built in mail client), Authorize.Net (for in chat payments), and Agora (for voice calls). When you connect one of these services:

  • You authorise us to act on your behalf within the narrow scope shown on the consent screen and described in our Privacy Policy. We don't expand that scope without re asking.
  • You remain bound by the third party service's own terms (for example Google's Ads API terms, your email host's terms). We can't override or waive them on your behalf.
  • You can revoke any connection at any time from the relevant page in your dashboard. Revoking removes the credentials from our systems and stops all future use, but actions we already took on your account (for example IPs we added to your Google Ads exclusion lists) remain in place. You control them in the third party service from then on.

Content you and your team create

Any conversations, notes, ticket content, or data generated inside your workspace belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of it. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the ZenTalk service to you.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to share any content you upload or send through the platform, and that doing so does not violate anyone else's rights.

Intellectual property

ZenTalk, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, belongs to us. Nothing in these terms gives you ownership of any part of ZenTalk. Your feedback and suggestions are always welcome, and if you share them with us, we may use them to improve the product.

Service availability

We work hard to keep ZenTalk running reliably. We aim for 99.9% uptime and we monitor the platform around the clock.

During our beta period we may occasionally take the service down for maintenance or improvements. We will always try to give you advance notice when we plan a longer maintenance window. Unexpected outages can happen with any software and we will communicate openly and quickly when they do.

Our liability

ZenTalk is provided as is during the beta period. We believe in the product and we stand behind it, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be error free or available at every moment.

To the extent permitted by law, ZenTalk is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses that result from using or not being able to use the platform. Our total liability in any dispute is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the dispute arose.

Ending your account

You can stop using ZenTalk at any time. To close your account and have your data deleted, email us at support@usezentalk.com and we will take care of it within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if we have a legal obligation to do so, or if we decide to wind down or significantly change the beta program. If we ever make a decision that affects your access, we will let you know and give you time to export your data.

Changes to these terms

We will email you at least 14 days before making any material changes to these terms. Continuing to use ZenTalk after those changes take effect means you have accepted the updated version. The date at the top of this page will always show when it was last revised.
